Here we have a 911 996 3.4L engine that we rebuilt and have tested
REBUILD PROCESS
It all begins upon arrival. We do a visual inspection of the motor for any obvious signs of damage. Generally, one of the common causes for a 911 996 water cooled engine rebuild would be a crack in the cylinder head. This would cause the oil and water to intermix (medium brown milky color) and signs of this particular failure almost always would be evident throughout the cooling system and sometimes in the motor.
At this point our customers would like an idea of what they are up against. In this case we would continue our process and teardown the engine. We want our customers to have the most cost efficient rebuild as possible and therefore every part is inspected by our highly experienced mechanic. Any mechanic can replace parts but it takes a knowledgable skilled mechanic to evaluate the parts condition for usability. Here, parts are not replaced just to be replaced.

REBUILT VS USED
Getting a used engine basically means you just flipped a coin and hope it lands heads up. You don't know what your getting and or the condition. Also, most used engines don't come with any kind of warranty. We advise all our customers that we highly recommend against this option.
A rebuilt engine with us, we include the needed updates. All our rebuilds comes with a warranty and our work is done in house meaning we know exactly everything that was done.
